Financing Your Franchise — Done Right the First Time

Your First Application Is Your Only Real Shot. We Make Sure It Counts.

In the Canadian banking system, underwriters anchor to the first impression of a file. A declined application is rarely reversed — the lender has formed a judgment and it sticks. FranMax is built around one principle: your file should never reach a lender's desk until it is ready to be approved.

Why This Matters

The One-Shot Reality of Canadian Franchise Financing

Most franchise buyers approach their bank directly — or through a generic business plan service — without understanding that the very first submission sets the tone. A poorly prepared file, an incomplete leasehold cost audit, or a business plan that doesn't align with the franchise system's established performance data will draw a decline. And once declined, the application lives in the lender's records.

FranMax's entire process is designed around preventing that outcome. Before we accept your file, we run a rigorous pre-submission assessment — the Paper Test — that identifies any barriers to approval before the bank ever sees your name.

⚠ The Anchoring Problem

Bank underwriters psychologically anchor to their first impression of a file. A soft decline — even an informal "not quite ready" — can permanently damage your chances with that lender. FranMax's protocol ensures you only submit once, and you submit correctly.

What Makes FranMax Different

Most financing consultants help you fill out a form. FranMax architects your entire financing package — from the first assessment of your credit position through to the bank's signed commitment — with Roger Noble as your sole point of contact at every step.

  • 30 years exclusively in Canadian franchise financing
  • JD background — legal rigour applied to every file
  • Direct bank advocacy — Roger speaks to the lender personally
  • Near-perfect historical success rate on submitted files

The Commitment Guard Protocol

How FranMax Protects Your Financing Commitment

1

The Paper Test

Before we accept your retainer, Roger Noble personally reviews your credit score (Beacon), verified net worth, and 90-day equity trail. If we don't see a high probability of approval, we tell you — honestly — before you spend a dollar. This protects your finances and your credit record.

2

Complete Package Architecture

We build your entire financing package — business plan, financial projections, leasehold cost audit to CSBFP statutory standards, market observations, and independent verification of all key figures. The bank receives everything they need in one complete, first-pass submission.

3

Direct Bank Advocacy

Roger Noble is the sole point of contact with the bank and with you. No handoffs to junior staff. The lender deals directly with someone who has a 30-year track record in Canadian franchise financing and a near-perfect historical success rate. That credibility travels with your file.

4

Commitment Secured

We manage all bank communications through to the signed financing commitment — responding to queries, providing supplementary information, and ensuring your location remains secured throughout the process. Your franchise company and landlord need that commitment quickly. We move fast.

Who We Help

Built for Every Stage of Franchise Ownership

New Franchise Locations

You have been awarded your location and need a financing commitment quickly to satisfy your franchisor and secure the lease. We get you bank-ready and move fast — typically 4 to 8 weeks faster than standard channel timelines.

Multi-Unit Operators

Many of our clients are multi-unit franchisee owners who return to FranMax each time they expand their portfolio — and refer us to colleagues in their franchise system. Our record with established operators is part of why the National Franchise Desks recognise our submissions.

Resale Buyers

Purchasing an existing franchised business? FranMax arranges buyer financing as part of the resale transaction — managing the complete bank package so the deal closes cleanly, the franchisor approves the transition, and you get into business without delay.

Refurbishing & Renovation Financing

Franchise systems frequently require franchisees to refurbish or renovate locations on a scheduled basis. FranMax arranges refurbishing and renovation financing separately from acquisition financing, with the same rigorous CSBFP compliance and bank-ready package preparation.

Your Documents. Fully Protected.

Bank-Grade Security for Every File You Share

When you share financial statements, CRA documents, and personal identification with FranMax, you are sharing the most sensitive information in your life. We take that seriously.

Every document you upload is stored exclusively on a dedicated, private Canadian server — not shared hosting, not a US-based cloud platform. Your files never leave Canada. All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and transmitted under TLS 1.3, the same standard used by Canadian chartered banks.

FranMax never stores your banking passwords, PINs, or authentication credentials. Where open banking connections are used for income and asset verification, access is handled exclusively through read-only, tokenised API handshakes — your credentials never pass through our systems.

Once your file is funded, all raw application documents are forensically purged from our servers within 30 days. Only what is legally required for record-keeping is retained, in compliance with PIPEDA. Full details at our Privacy & Security Policy.
